Glynnis DyeGlynnis is
inspired by her environment. Living on the coast, she is fascinated by the
constantly changing light conditions, the dramatic, never-ending skies and the
flat salt marsh.
Glynnis observes the interaction of people with their environment, especially when near the sea and having fun. Glynnis pays particular attention to capturing movement and mood, using gestural brush stokes and rich colour.
Glynnis has a background is in the scenic industry, designing and making props and sets for the film and theatre industry and for the past four years, has been exhibiting her paintings and sculptures throughout Essex.
Glynnis also provides Artist led educational workshops, specialising in scenery and prop making, mosaics, and painting. Recently she has been working with The Royal Opera House Education Department on their Creative Partnerships Programme.
